Wildwood Drive Clarksville,IN May 1999 I live in Lincoln Heights, and the noise has grown almost intolerable over the past four days. I estimate 50 flights an hour directly overhead residential area. Pilots are irritating people unnecessarily. Why dont they change flight path to run over I-65, where there is a lot of urban noise already. Think about it!
Louisville May 1999 My wife and I have been residents of Old Louisville for over ten years. The court on which we live was peaceful and very quiet until the airport expansion. We were assured that the noise level would be little different than what it was before the expansion began. Of course that was a lie. Now we can not watch TV in the evening when planes are landing over Old Louisville. We cannot have a conversation without shouting. Why should we believe this new study will do any more than generate more lies?
Larchmont Avenue Louisville 40215 May 1999 I am having a problem with planes flying over my house and waking me up.
Bowie Drive Louisville 40219 May 1999 I cannot sleep at night because the planes start at 4:00 a.m. The house feels like it will fall in. I want to be included in the noise study.
Switch Bark Road Louisville, 40228 May 1999 I heard a low, loud aircraft sound early in the morning. Usually we don't. Why? Have the patterns changed? For the last three weeks the planes have been flying low and loud. It begins at night about 11:00 p.m. to late in to the night. I have a two-year-old who loves planes and will wake up and say, "planes" and then won't go back to sleep.
Packard Avenue Louisville 40217 May 1999 Planes are coming from every direction, North, East, South and West. I am 79 years old. I have lived here since I was 7 years old. I have put up with a lot, but this is ridiculous. It is too much.
Harrison Lane Louisville, 40118 May 1999 I have a lot of aircraft noise in my neighborhood. I want to participate in the noise study.
Maylawn Avenue Louisville, 40217 May 1999 There was a plane that just flew over my house very low.
Reading Road Louisville, 40217 May 1999 There was a military plane that flew about a half foot above my roof. It was so loud that everyone had to close their ears, because it was so loud.
Wildwood Drive Louisville, 47129 May 1999 I live in Lincoln Heights and noise has grown almost intolerable over the past four days. Estimated 50 flights an hour directly overhead residential area. Pilots are irritating people unnecessarily. I want to know why they don't change flight patterns to run over I-65, where there is a lot of urban noise already. Thank about it!
Reading Road Louisville, 40217 May 1999 I am with the Airport Neighborhood Association of Parkway Village. There was a C5A that literally flew a half-foot over the roof of my house. I called the KY Air National Guard and they said it wasn't their plane. Would you please check into this?
Wildwood Drive Louisville, 47129 May 1999 The last 4-5 days have been overwhelmingly loud. The planes have been flying so low that it is scaring the kids. This is corrupt. To fly over residential homes when less than a mile away is I-65, which is an area that is used to accommodating noise from transportation. Please log this complaint and thank you for listening.
Lincoln Heights Clarksville, 47129 May 1999 I work here but I do not live in Lincoln Heights, Clarksville, IN. I can read the numbers on the planes when they are flying overhead and it's terrifying. I can practically wave at the pilots. I am glad I do not live in this area.
S. 2nd Street Louisville, 40214 May 1999 The aircraft were low and loud this morning.
Loi Road Louisville, 47119 May 1999 The planes are low, loud and frequent, especially between the hours of 11:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m., when they are buzzing over my home.
Norbourne Estates Louisville, 40205 May 1999 At approximately 3:35 p.m. on May 19 a corporate plane flew over my house very low and fast. We all were anticipating hearing a crash.
Wildwood Drive Louisville, 47129 May 1999 This is my third contact about noise and I am calling to remind you how annoying the noise is. I want action now. Planes are disrupting my peace ofmind, quality of life and corrupting tranquility. I want them moved over to I-65, not after the study is completed, but now. Someone needs to call me back and give me some feedback.
Minors Lane Louisville, 40219 May 1999 I am a resident of Holiday Mobil Home Park lot number 167. Recently there has been an increasingly amount of airplane noise in our park. Many residents have complained about the noise. What I would like to know is when the airport is going to buy or relocate the trailers. Also, we would like to know what if the trailer is not movable? In closing I would like to say that the noise is getting unbearable and most of us are ready to get away from it. Please respond back and let us know what is going on, the noise is twice as loud in a trailer than a house. Thank you.
Downes Lane Louisville, 40214 May 1999 Please call me about aircraft noise over my house. I don't have a phone so I'm leaving my parents phone number. They can tell you my problem.
Downes Lane Louisville, 40214 May 1999 I live near Naval Ordnance. I have to be to work at 5:00 a.m. I work at Jeff Boat and it is a very physical job, so I need my sleep. The aircraft noise is terrible. I do not have air-conditioning and have to sleep with the windows open. It is very loud sometimes and it makes it hard for me to sleep. What am I supposed to do? I need to get my sleep.
Maylawn Avenue Louisville, 40217 May 1999 Planes flew over my hose very low and was off the flight path. They need to stay on the flight path.
Wildwood Drive Clarksville, 47129 May 1999 This morning there have been 50-100 planes flying over my house. Why can't the common sense approach be the flight path to the east? Just a little over is the commercial zone where the interstate and highway and business areas are.
Hollywood Boulevard Clarksville, 47129 May 1999 I was sitting outside enjoying myself with some friends and am disheartened with the noise, which is becoming a big problem. It's not fair to those trying to live in a nice community. Can the flight path be moved to I-65? Please do something to make it better.
Wildwood Drive Clarksville, 47129 May 1999 The planes are disruptive on this Sunday morning. It is impossible to read the paper outside. I want them moved over I-65 and other commercial areas. Is there a compelling reason why this can't be done?
Wildwood Drive Clarksville, 47129 May 1999 100-200 planes flew over yesterday. These planes fly directly over my house, not 50' away, but directly over my house. They are flying nose to nose, one after another. It seems we could change the flight corridor slightly, they are not that restrictive. Instead of putting them over neighborhoods, change the corridor and put them over busy business routes, such as Eastern Boulevard and Highway 60. (Four aircraft flew over while we talked. Four minutes.) Please have Rande Swann call me--she knows me. We have spoken before.
Maplewood Drive Clarksville, 47129 May 1999 We can't open our windows--the noise after 11:00 p.m. is very bad. This has been worse since last year--very 3-5 minutes, all night long.
Maplewood Drive Clarksville, 47129 May 1999 The planes have been flying non-stop since 9:00 a.m. about 30 an hour. Last night was not so bad, but the night before was horrible. Whom do I contact to have something done? Surely, the planes could fly over the expressway (I-65) where there are no homes.
Loretta Avenue Louisville, 40213 May 1999 Why are the aircraft flying over in this direction? Explain the runways, pilots and what differences cause a change in the flight patterns?
May 1999 Between 4-4:30 p.m. there were a lot of planes going overhead todayand days prior. The noise is driving me crazy. It sounds like the planes are going to land on or in my house.
May 1999 The noise sure does bother me. Recently, it wakes me up at 3:30 a.m. and bothers me until 6:30 a.m. Please send me a brochure and put me on the list to receive updates, as I'm disabled and unable to attend the meetings.
Louisville May 1999 There's constant helicopters circling at May 26 at 9:00 p.m. Why? They're flying low and constant.
Seneca Gardens May 1999 Last night at 3:40 a.m., about 4-5 planes flew over my home. In the afternoon, staring about 4:00 p.m., planes fly over my home so loud and so low that my ears hurt. This happens nearly everyday.
Harrison Lane Louisville, 40118 May 1999 I have a broken back. It makes it hard for me sleep with all the aircraft noise. It begins every morning at 7:00 a.m.
Harrison Lane Louisville, 40118 May 1999 Is there anything we can do about the noise? Can't get much rest. Appreciate my info via phone or mail. Can't get out to meeting due to broken back.
