Hello, I was given this number by citycall. I am trying to make a complaint about the airplane noise. I am calling to make a complaint about the noise levels of the airplanes going over our home which is in Old Louisville. It is so frustrating that it is to the point where I just can't take it any more. I cannot hear anything, especially late at night. When I am on the phone I can't even hear myself talk. I can't even watch the news even if I crank my TV up all the way. It is impossible for me to hear the TV. The noise is SO loud, sometimes it sounds like it is going to crash into our house. It sounds like they are in our backyard. I do not know what I can do about this but I intend to complain every time I cannot hear the TV. So if you could maybe give me a call and let me know what my avenues are, what I can do about this. Is there another number I should be calling other than this one? Thanks,

I just moved to Old Louisville from another part of the city and the noise from the planes has been intolerable I am awake right now because they have been flying overhead every three minutes for hours......how can I find out when this is going to happen so that I might prepare myself? Is there some sort of schedule? I am so sick of these planes flying right over my head I could scream...do they have to fly so close? I would appreciate you help.

We have gotten use to no noise over here so we were kind of jarred awake tonight by the UPS planes flying overhead. It started about 11:15 p.m. and it is now about 1:00 a.m. I just wanted to file a noise complaint that we are having overflights. I went on the internet and checked both 41 and WHAS and they said winds were out of the south at 7. It seems like whenever it get close it is enough to push the tower over to turn the runway around, and that is what has happened here tonight. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks

I live over in Auburn Oaks subdivision off Newcut road. It is Saturday morning and there has been an unusual amount of traffic over my home this morning. One UPS flight after another since about 7:30 a.m. I was just wondering if there has been a change in the flight patterns and what was going on? Usually we are used to them going over our homes when there is rain but there is not a spec of rain anywhere.

I can't believe what they are trying to cram down our throats with all this rubbish. It’s a laugh if they think we are going to be foolish enough to fall for this idiotic scheme. Common sense tells me that we will not get what we purchased our homes for if we agree to what the so-called committee suggests. We have been very patient in hopes you would move the Airport or buy all of us out. No one is going to sign a contract to have their home insulated and give up their property rights. Every day I have to reassure myself that I am still living in a free Country I can not believe this is all happening. I love my country my children’s Father fought in World 2-and so did my Father and my Uncle died in battle in Germany, and my youngest son served two Tours in Vietnam, for what so the politicians can run over us and destroy our property and peace of mind. I don't think we have no other choice but to settle this in court. Would like a response

This weekend of mild temperatures and mostly sunny skies has exceeded all forecasters’ expectations, and would’ve been most enjoyable if not for the persistent roar of departing jets north of the airport. In dry conditions, of course, these operations are only supposed to occur when the wind component along the runway azimuth exceeds seven knots from the north. Nevertheless, despite winds visibly from the west and generally mild, these operations have continued to overfly the most densely populated areas around the airport throughout Saturday and Sunday. I haven’t compiled a formal list of event wind readings, as on so many previous occasions. This gets tedious, and the evidence for more robust and transparent runway use decision aids is already way beyond indisputable. I did make numerous spot checks of on-field conditions, and found the wind in all but a single instance over the two days to be between 220 degrees, 8 knots, and 280 degrees, 14 knots – in other words, anything from a 5-knot headwind to a 5-knot tailwind. All well within range for normal south-flow operations. The one exception was a reading early Sunday afternoon of 310 degrees, 9 knots – almost, but not quite enough to justify north flow, at a 6.8-knot component. With the approaching conclusion of the FAR Part 150 study update, and this body of evidence, there should be ample opportunity to correct this systemic data fusion problem, with Federal sanction and support. We can all look forward to the occasion.

Mr. Slattery, I spoke with you earlier this morning about the landing patterns over Southern Indiana. I pulled up the website we talked about but I was not able to access the nose exposure map. Would you mind sending me a hard copy of the information? Thank you very much for your assistance.

I am selling my house and was wondering if you had a map or something that I could show a potential buyer where the airport noise is?

There were 3 airplanes that took off and turned short of the normal path. Instead of going south of Candlelight Hill they went north of the hill over our house. Normally there is no air traffic over our house. This happens a lot about 5 a.m. also, the Planes tonight were Track ID No’s 24, 136 and 126 Please advise why the different routes.

I find it interesting that most of the air traffic comes over Southwest Jefferson County. I can sit out at night and watch plane after plane take off, I find it interesting that very few are going over eastern Jefferson county. The noise is not a major factor but it is somewhat of a nuisance. I find it hard to believe that most of the planes are coming this way. Send them out over Bullet county where the population is not as dense.

Last night UPS flew in over Old Louisville and made it impossible to sleep. It is just an aggravating sound. If you have never heard it then you will not understand. It seems like every place in the city has there own type of problems, and we have just become a dumping ground. We need to make sure that there is a long-range plan to keep these things from happening in the future.
