It is Saturday morning about 6 AM and we went to bed about 1130 last night and everything seemed to be fairly quite until about 5 AM this morning. We were awaken by the planes buzzing our house tops again evidently they went to bed with the airport arrivals from the south and I am assuming they turned it around on us again. I am putting this down, this is going to be the 5th night in a row our sleep has been interrupted over in Clarksville. Just thought I would let you know. It is the 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st of January, now it is the first of February.

My concern is that rumor has it that the expansion project is on hold. I think it is very disappointing that I live in the last phase of the expansion and now I find out that its going to be even longer before we can move and get our lives back. My children don’t deserve to live in these conditions and you have put us in a situation where it is more than like impossible for us to sell our home to anyone but the airport. I hope someone listens to the complaints of the neighborhood and decides that this issue is more important than an NBA arena!!!!! Anyone that lives in the area knows that it is real stressful and hard to live day to day with all the noise and the boarded up homes. We see the results from all this and its not a real pretty sight. Our families are put through too much.

We go to bed about 10 and everything is quite then about 11 they start buzzing the house tops again. This is the second day of February 2 out of 5 that is running around 40%. Some of the people have even suggested and we may do this, that we invite a reporter from the courier journal over to some of the homes to listen to the noise maybe Dale Moss who does th Indiana beat for the Courier Journal and let the Courier decide if it is just something we are perception or if it is reality that the noise is unbearable, and if this is something that could have been missed prior to October or something maybe we just were not aware of. Or did not realize was there. We would like a reporter from the Courier maybe Dale Moss who is a Hoosier to come to the homes here and let him listen and say do you think we could have missed this much noise prior to October. It would be interesting to see what an outsider might have to say. But again they are roaring over the house tops and this is going to be another night of very little sleep.

No need to return my call this is kind of an on the site report. In the last hour it has been a beautiful day and there have been at least 15, 18, 20 planes overhead for no discernable weather reason we could know about the northern approach is being used again it is truly obnoxious the day noise just kind of ruins being outside. So for what it is worth it is one of those days we dread where you just want to go inside close all the windows and doors and turn the TV on, and that is not the way we like to live. It is that kind of day and they do still happen although they do seem to come in streaks. I just hate it when it is a day like this.

Just wanted to thank you all for waking me up once again with such deep loud plane noise. It is just such a joy to lose another ####### night of sleep so UPS can make a G_ _ D_ _ _ profit.

We go to bed at 10:00 PM tonight with the weather report that the winds are out of the West, very light, thinking that we are going to get a good nights sleep. At about 11:00 or 5 after 11:00 they start buzzing the house tops again so once more they have turned the runway around on us. This is the 4th night in February out of 11 so you are running about 37% over southern Indiana. Please check the Courier Dale Mosses column in the days to come on the perception of noise being louder over hear in our area I think it is very interesting what an objective person has come up with on this thing. But again it is extremely loud and we are unable to sleep and it goes on as long as they fly those UPS planes over the house. So 4 out of 11 you are on schedule to hit your usual 10 or 11 days out of the month and it has been going on since October.

Have they moved or changed the flight path lately? Sunday afternoon I noticed that they were bringing the planes in from a different direction. They appeared to be going more east west than north south.

The Noise Study needs to look at ways of making the aircraft quieter. You will not be able relocate or sound insulate the whole city, so you need to put hushkits on the aircraft to make them quieter.

It is Saturday night and the planes have buzzing the house since about 10:00 so it looks like they have turned the runways around on us again bringing the planes over southern Indiana. This is the 3rd night out of 9 in February so it looks like you are running your average of about 60 about 33% of the flight are coming over southern Indiana since October. So I will get back with you.

It is about 11:30 PM the jets are flying overhead, this is 1,2, 3, 4, 5 days out of 14 in February. But the disconcerting thing was I just turned off the weather on channel 32 and they said surface winds are out of the north at 5 miles an hour, unbelievable how that can be in the upper atmosphere out of the south at above 8 to 10 miles an hour, but the surface winds are out of the north at 5 miles an hour. Again don't understand it, 5 days out of 14. If we project that it is going to be 11 or 12 days in February which is slightly above what has been running high anyway. So another night of lost sleep.

Your planes woke me up this morning at about 4:30 AM. This has been going on for several months. I am not sure how often it happens but my husband has been sick for a few months and he needs to get his sleep. I will be keeping track of this from now on and reporting back to you when they wake us up. I have attended the noise meetings before and something needs to be done about this.

Yea, I am calling to complain about your flight patterns. It is 10:00 PM and I live in Highview, in the private city of Springville. You all have spent millions of dollars building two north and southbound runways and moving people and shutting down roads you need to use them and quit flying over our private city and disturbing all of us. You need to change those flight patterns.

I think you know why I am calling It is Monday night the 18th we have noise keeping us awake in Clarksville. I think this is the 6th night out of 18 in February so it looks like it is running right about 9 or 10 night a month since October there has been no deviation from that. I know we have been having unusual weather patterns but I can't see getting to an 80% or higher south bound landings so I just know when it is going to let up. Another night of not a whole lot of sleep over here in Clarksville.

As you are probably already aware the planes are buzzing the house tops hear in Clarksville again tonight. This is Tuesday night the 19th and the noise is so bad you cannot even watch television that’s how loud they are. They are normally very loud anyway but especially loud tonight. This is the 7th night this month out of 19 which is around 38% of the time. Highly unusual weather well, wait hear comes one now maybe you can hear it, I don't know if you heard that one but that is how they are flying. It is almost where it makes you want to duck inside your own house, they feel like they are coming through the roof tops. 7 out 19 days again that is about 38% of the time they are flying over southern Indiana so it looks like we are going to balance out where half are from the north and half are from the south. That looks about like where we are headed, we may even do it this month. But they are keeping us awake over hear in Clarksville again tonight.

I want to make a formal complaint about airplane noise Those guys that I talked to just a minute ago could not take it. So lets take airplane noise complaints. It is happening right now it is Tuesday 11:15 PM and it is airplanes coming in one right after the other and it is terrible loud a can't even talk to you on the phone. You need to start recording these things and take formal complaints. I don't need for you to call me. You don't need to call me for any reason because I am calling you to make a complaint. Please make this a little easier for making complaints. Thank you.

Since a little after 4 this morning the planes have been buzzing our house tops again on a frequent basis. I think you mentioned to me onetime that UPS stopped at about 2:30 AM and I can't believe that these are commercial flights that are coming in frequently as they are but we have been getting them overhead for about an hour and a half now and it's not every 3 or 4 minutes but there is not much more space than that between these flights. Unbelievable that this early in the morning you have all of these commercial flights coming in this early. It sounds like UPS traffic again but I am going to put this down as another day and another night of lost sleep over here, I think that is 8 so far this month in February out of 21 days the planes have been going over our heads instead of to the south. So I am up I do not know how long this will go on it is so loud that we can't go back to sleep thanks here comes another one bye.

The plans fly over her house all day and all night, which results in no sleep. Her daughter has terminal cancer and she worries about her all day. She is exhausted and worn out. Do you think this is fair treatment for a senior citizen, and is there anything you can do to help her relocate?

They have been flying constantly since about 10:30 just buzzing right over top of the house tops. I am concerned about the altitude on these planes I know we have discussed the fact that you say they are flying the same path they have always flown, but I am wondering if the altitude is not quite a bit lower than they were in the past. This is the 9th night in February that UPS has flown over us, out of 25 days so that is 36% of the nights in this month so far that we have had UPS flights overhead here in Clarksville and they are especially low tonight. They are just right on top of the house tops it sounds like.

The planes are buzzing the house tops again tonight and this is the second straight night and I have been sick with the Flu so I certainly can't get any sleep with this going on so that is bothering me quite a bit. It is the tenth night in February out of 26 days so you are running right at 40%. It is quarter till 11 and channel 41 says the winds are out of the northwest at 10 miles an hour, if the winds are out of there again then you are going to have too explain to me why the planes are landing from the north, northwest winds at 10 mph and the planes are landing against that wind not into a head wind. I don't understand it. It is just a gross and onerous invasion of our right to sleep over here. We have the right to have quite and peace and to sleep and especially so with me now that I have the flu, I can't even get the rest I need to get over this stupid thing. Just wanted to let you know 10 nights out of 25 or 26 it looks like they are going to break January's record of 10 days so I certainly want to be at that navigation meeting, there is a lot our neighborhood needs to air out and something has to be done to give us some relief in Clarksville.

I am just calling to report a really unbearable traffic situation here. Every 2 minuets or minuet and a half a plane come droning over extremely loud. I can't believe the number of planes that seem to be arriving this evening. It is hugely obnoxious and extremely disruptive and it is raising my blood pressure. It really makes me upset and angry and it is such an interruption to the quality of life over here. We have talked a few times and I have told you when it is not so bad, and I am telling you when it is bad, it's bad now. It is really terrible now. I wish there was something we could do about it I certainly hope the western runway comes through the way you have indicated the way all indicators are. Just letting off a little steam and letting you know the traffic is _ _ _, I would move tomorrow if I thought it was going to be like this. For what it is worth the quality of life has really gone down here in Clarksville.
