Has anyone monitored the noise level in the Clarksville area, particularly around the falls of the Ohio state park? It seems like things are getting worse. I purchased a house down here before I ever realized that the noise would be so bad. I just think it is unfair that Louisville seems to ignore this side of the river and what we think to the noise levels of the Airport.

Aircraft is flying directly over my house now, but they haven’t as much in the past. Why do they sometimes fly over and not other times?

Early Saturday morning (7/30/99) aircraft was taking off directly over caller’s house again, mostly jets from UPS. The noise is disturbing his sleep.

Caller is renting the home and did not give name. Complained that planes are coming in frequently from north and are extremely loud. The caller would like to sit outside and can’t due to noise. Can’t you send the planes somewhere else?

On 8/3 caller reported military planes and commercial planes departing over his home going north. He was concerned about the military planes – why are they flying? The commercial planes were also flying to the north, was there any reason? On 8/5 caller reported planes flying to the north again. His family works nights; they were keeping a granddaughter and the planes scared her and woke her up.

This morning, on this date, 8/6/99 an airplane went over our house very close, roared so loud it shook the place, we couldn’t sleep, woke everybody up at 4 a.m. in the morning. We should be sleeping at 4 a.m. and there shouldn’t be any airplanes that close anyway. It was extremely close. It felt like you could just about touch it and I believe you almost could. This happened recently, it’s happened more recently now, it’s getting worse all the time. So I just wanted to make a comment about this. At 4 a.m. or any time when an airplane is that low, living is undesirable under a noise like that. It was so loud you couldn’t hear anything. So I hope this is not a practice, if it is I disagree with it. Thank you.

Air traffic last night from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. began looping over our area and the noise was very loud. Please investigate the reason for the path flight and who was on schedule directing flight paths.

Planes kept us up all night last night from 9:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. and again from 4:30 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. This is keeping my daughters and granddaughter awake. One has to attend school and this interferes with her sleep. I just want to know if I can be bought out. I need an answer today. If not, I’ll take this to my attorneys. I want a call today with some answers.

We have to keep our air conditioning on all the time because of the noise from the planes. What the airport is doing to our neighborhoods and us is sickening.

Loud, low, frequent airplanes are flying all over the place up here tonight. Starting at about 11:30. One just went right over my house real loud and real low, real low. This flight pattern is especially a nuisance. They seem to be coming from the Corydon area flying about up to Loi Road and making a loop around and going back to Louisville. We here the noise coming and going. Somebody call me back and tell me why they’re flying like this tonight. Thank you.

During the period indicated, several planes took off on runway 35R - i.e., northbound, in opposition to preferred flow. ASOS reported wind "calm"; conditions were clear and dry. What's the story?

At 3 a.m., 4 UPS planes started flying over and were extremely loud and low. It was so bad that our houseguests were awakened and were alarmed by the noise. Please, please, request that they bank the planes a few more degrees to the west so we aren’t startled awake in the future.

I’m calling to register a complaint of loud aircraft noise this evening. It is 6:15 p.m. and my neighbors and I would like to sit outside to enjoy the air. However, UPS and other planes are so loud we can’t talk to one another. If I had the number for UPS, I would call them.

The noise is getting worse after 4:30 a.m. than it has been in the past. I would appreciate someone calling me back and explaining why this is.

I was just coming home from shopping with my wife and we were in the car turning around in the street having a conversation. All the windows were up in the vehicle when a jet flew over. It was so loud it drowned out our conversation. And now it has only been three minutes and another loud jet has flown over. We can still hear it, even inside the house.

Can not hear when conversing with persons in my yard as airplanes fly over. UPS planes fly shortly after 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Property values lowered as a result of being under flight path. Exhaust from planes are polluting the air we breath. Flight path would be better situated over I-65 corridor – commercial businesses instead of residential homes. I was not informed about flight path over my house when making the decision to establish North – South runway and flight path. The FAA receives money from government to promote and enhance airports. This is taxpayer money. By not being informed, this amounts to taxation without representation.

I wanted to complain about the reoccurring noise. Since the last meeting, I think it was about July 29th, and before that, from this last meeting, the meeting before this last meeting, up to the last meeting they made a great improvement over to the airport. It wasn’t too much noticeable airplane noise, but since this last meeting something happened in the signals or the organization the way the planes took off and landed. It’s gotten real noisy again, especially in the morning. So I try to get a hold of ***. He’s out at the present, but I left a note there for him. I would like to get an answer on this. What happened over at the airport that brought the noise back, that since the last meeting? So it looks like something was agreed upon to use the western runway or something like that more than they’ve been using it or bigger planes or something like that. But something really physically happened because it wasn’t too bad from the meeting before to this last meeting. So I wanted to voice that complaint and I’d like to…

Large amounts of air traffic northbound during the period indicated. ASOS reports wind at 270 degrees, 10 knots – well below threshold for normal runway operation. Weather dry and clear. Why all the racket over heavily populated areas?

I am calling to complain about the noise of the airplanes flying overhead. They are going north and I have been home since 4:35 that’s when I first noticed it because two planes took off within probably about 30 seconds apart from each other. I was in the back yard at the time and it was so loud, I was having a conversation with my wife and it drowned out. We had to stop talking to each other until the planes flew over. Now I’m inside my house, I’ve done heard three more planes fly over, and I am inside my house with my air-conditioning on, my door shut. I’m standing next to the refrigerator; I can hear one going over now. Thank you

Want to make sure it gets logged down that a plane at 11:23 on Friday night, 27th of August flew directly over my house at a very, very low altitude and that’s substantially off of the track that it should be on; probably by 5 or 6 miles of the track that it should be on. So I want to make sure that gets to the airport. Bye.

The time is Sunday morning, and my wife and myself always like to sit on our
patio and read the sunday morning paper. I think that you can get the
picture here. This particular morning there seemed to be a lot of air traffic coming directly over our house. This was not a good morning ! I still don't know why a lot of this air traffic can not follow the car traffic of I65 to the Louisville area.
