A small plane circled over our house for about 20 minutes then maneuvered in motion to have wings wave "goodbye" to me as it flew away. This same incident has happened before.

The plane noise is too loud. Can the planes fly in some other direction?

The plane noise is so loud it causes things to shake and fall off the wall.

The planes have been flying low over my house. I want them to fly higher or along a different path.

There have been a lot of aircraft flying over today. Why are they so loud. Also, has a decibel reading ever been taken out here?

For the past two weeks, there have been a lot of aircraft passing over my house. Is it possible to change the flight path?

I’m calling from Indiana and was wondering what’s going on at the airport that’s causing the aircraft to be flying loud and low and frequent all the way up here today? The sky is clear and there is very little wind, etc. The planes have been turning out near Martin and Loi roads and then they turn back to Louisville. They have been flying a lot between 9 and 10 a.m. They should not be flying so low all the way over her in the hills. And, of course, they do this at night also off and on. So thank you.

There are a lot of aircraft over our house again today. We live north of the east runway, which is supposed to be closed on Saturdays for repairs. Why all the traffic. When I call the Communication Center to just whether the east runway is closed, I got an operator who had no public skills. He acted as if it was a state secret whether the runway was closed or not. If it is in a NOTAM, it should be public information and they should know. Why not answer a simple question?

Why can’t the noise study be expanded to cover the Bowman Field area as well?

I am concerned because we seem to be having a lot more noise this week than we have been having. I should have called you everyday this week, except for yesterday which was Thursday. Today is Friday, August 18 and everyday this week except for, I don’t remember yesterday being so bad, but every other day this week there has been a lot of noise and a lot of low flying aircraft. And like right now, and sometimes it’s even hard to tell which direction their coming from because they make so much noise that you can’t tell which way they’re going. I think the one that came was going probably from the north, which doesn’t make sense, from the northeast to the northwest and that doesn’t make sense at all. It seems like they should be going from the northwest to the northeast to get to the airport. But they’re making so much noise that sometimes it’s even hard to tell which direction they’re coming from. All of a sudden they’re just making really a lot of noise.

My question is when is the next meeting going to be for the Airport study groups?

I want to know why the aircraft are flying over Mt. Washington road instead of over Minor Lane Heights. We had this changed a year ago and they are supposed to head south and now they are cutting across Okolona.

The aircraft noise has picked up over the past year – have you changed the patterns? I usually don’t get a lot of noise out here, but last night it was just one right after another. Do you have any information?

In recent months, quite a few planes have pass overhead. Most are not bothersome, but some 747's are quite loud. I measured one 747 and saw 90 dB. I'll have to try the meter out more often, as that particular 747 wasn't the loudest I've heard.

I live directly under the flight path near Eastern Pkwy. & Preston. The noise is loud and constant all day long! This is a great neighborhood but the noise is sometimes unbearable. I am hoping to find out if our neighborhood will be helped with making our home more soundproof. Specifically, will we be compensated for adding insulated double paned replacement windows and additional soundproofing insulation, or any additional soundproofing remedies?

Audubon Parkway

Once again a tranquil Sunday morning is repeatedly shattered by turbojet departures to the north of the airport over the most heavily populated areas. There is no wind in Audubon Park. Spot checks of ASOS readings on the field gave "250 degrees, 7 knots" at 6:30, "calm" at 7, and "50 degrees, 3 knots" at 7:30. Hourly NOAA readings are mostly south and east and generally mild for all the overnight hours. The nearest thing to a northerly wind was the 6 AM value, 250 degrees at 11 knots - not at all close to threshold value for non-preferred operations to the north. Still they come. If tower readings are so regularly and radically different from what's being reported to the public, then the need for real-time information flow is an urgent matter of FAA credibility. Hope you can approach the noise study group with some aggressive ideas.

There is a constant roar of aircraft, it used to be just on Thursdays, but now it seems like it has become arbitrary throughout the week.

We’ve been awake since 4 a.m. It is horrible. They were okay for awhile. They come through here any way they want to and it is an accident waiting to happen. The rest of the aircraft usually turn off to the west or east. We are up 1,000 ft. with 70ft. trees and you can’t tell me they are up high enough. If they come down over here it will take out at least 1,000 people.

The aircraft is flying off course on a regular basis and the noise was very loud. Why?

The roaring of the jet engines is terrible. We have never had this type of noise. I can feel the G-Force or some sort of pull from the aircraft in my house. There are also laser-type lights coming in the windows. What I am seeing and feeling is coming from a clump of trees. When I investigated, there was a jet and what looked like a landing strip. There was a big, bright light on the back but it never took off.

We can’t sleep at all and the noise has gotten worse. It has been awful. One plane last night just circled the neighborhood and around Southern Parkway.

It’s 4:00 getting to be 5:00 now in the morning of the 31st and this has been three nights straight. Endless, endless house rattling airplanes. This is ********. I don’t know, whatever great thinkers decided the people in the neighborhood didn’t deserve to sleep, but I’ve called you before and I realize nothing is going to happen. This really stinks.
