6:30 p.m.Pre-Briefing for New Participants
7:00 p.m. Meeting Convenes

Fourth Presbyterian Church 3016 Preston Highway

As usual, a pre-briefing will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. for those who have not previously attended a Noise Compatibility Study Group meeting. The full meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The public is encouraged to attend and participate.

The main purpose of this meeting is for the Study Group to receive reports and recommendations from its Metrics, Monitoring and Strategic Planning committees, and to endorse and/or amplify their findings, as the Group finds appropriate.

  • The Metrics Committee will report on its review of measurements and calculations to add to the analysis of the community's noise profile, and make specific proposals.

  • The Monitoring Committee will present its assessment and recommendations for locating monitoring devices around the airport to validate noise levels for analysis and forecasting.

  • The Strategic Planning Committee will offer a slate of industry, academic and government professionals for an "experts panel" to conduct socioeconomic forecasting for the noise study.

After Study Group approval, the chair will forward results to the Leigh Fisher consulting team for implementation as part of the data gathering and research component of the Noise Compatibility Study. Consultants will be present at the meeting and will be prepared to answer technical questions that may arise during the presentation or discussion of committee recommendations.

Directions: Fourth Presbyterian Church is located on the west side of Preston Highway at its intersection with Jefferson Court, just north of Audubon Park.
